Description
The journey of young orphan Xin's rise to glory as a great general in the Qin kingdom's quest to do what has never been done before--unify China. Xin is a war orphan in a poor village in the kingdom of Qin. He has big dreams of becoming the Greatest General Under the Heavens, and when his best friend's life is cut short by political machinations, Xin finds himself on a quest to do what no one has ever done before--unify China. Ying Zheng's surprise attack to reclaim the throne has begun. While he and a number of his own men, along with the Mountain People, keep attention on themselves at the steps of the palace, the real attack is underway, with Xin leading a separate force of Diao, Bi, a few Qin soldiers, and more Mountain People through an escape tunnel with a direct route to the throne room. Their goal? Put an end to Cheng Jiao and remove him from the throne while the main force acts as a distraction. But Cheng Jiao is prepared and not going down without a fight, and soon Xin's team is met with monstrous foes!

About the Author
Yasuhisa Hara was born June 9, 1975, in Kiyama in Saga prefecture. Before his career as a manga creator, he became captivated by the Chinese historical text known as Shiji, which was the inspiration for his hit series Kingdom. In 2005, he started working as an assistant under the esteemed manga creator Takehiko Inoue, while starting to work on Kingdom, which began serialization in Young Jump in 2006.
